YaaFlip
Host a drop-off spot

Your counter could be a YaaFlip drop-off spot.

YaaFlip is an invite-only marketplace where kids trade the toys they've outgrown, with their parents running every account. When a toy sells, the family drops it off at a drop-off spot and the buyer's family picks it up there. We're looking for places families already trust.

Why places host

Families walk in twice

Every trade brings two visits from verified local families: one to drop a toy off, and one to pick it up, usually a parent with a kid who just got something new.

No fees, either way

You don't pay to host, and we don't pay you. Families trade with Yaa! Points, not cash, and nothing passes through your register.

A shelf and a minute

You need a staffed counter during your hours and a shelf out of children's reach. That's the whole setup.

What a host does

  • Keeps a shelf for waiting bags where children can't reach it.
  • Takes in bags during the hours families see in the app.
  • Matches the two words a family says to the label on a bag, and hands the bag over.
  • Holds each bag for its 14-day pickup window.
  • Pauses the drop-off spot in the app before closing for a holiday or a break.

Who fits

Any place with a staffed counter, predictable hours and a welcome for a parent and a kid: libraries, kids' resale and consignment shops, toy and book stores, cafés, bakeries and ice-cream shops, play cafés, martial-arts, dance and gymnastics front desks, community centers and YMCAs, church offices, and apartment leasing offices.

Questions hosts ask

What if a bag goes missing?

The items are toys worth a few Yaa! Points each. Take the same care of waiting bags that you take of your own things. If one goes missing anyway, tell us: YaaFlip settles it with the families, and you owe nothing.

What happens to a bag nobody picks up?

Each bag waits 14 days. After that the trade closes and the bag is yours to donate or throw away; you mark it as gone in the app. The seller's family was paid when they dropped it off, so nobody is owed anything for it.

Our staff changes a lot. Is that a problem?

No. The whole job is two steps: match the two words a family says to the label on a bag, then hand the bag over. Anyone at the counter can do it on their first day.

Can we take a break?

Yes. Pause your spot from the app for up to 90 days at a time. Families with bags on the way get the extra days automatically.

How do we stop hosting?

Ask to close your spot in the app. We close it as soon as no bag is waiting on your shelf.

Apply to host

A person reads every application, usually within a few days. If we approve your place, we email you three words that set up your host account.
